Please join us in congratulating our newest members on achieving their certifications! This milestone is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. Let’s celebrate their success and continue supporting each other as we grow together! Congratulations to all!

Certification Spotlight

Introducing a new section in our newsletter where we’ll spotlight different certifications. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the diverse certifications available within PMI and the valuable skills they represent.

Whether you're considering a new certification or looking to expand your knowledge, this feature will provide insights and inspiration. Stay tuned as we showcase the hard work and dedication of our certified members!

As a chapter, we're excited to introduce you to PMI's newest certification focused specifically on PMO professionals. This certification was launched globally in February 2025 and represents an important addition to PMI's certification portfolio.

The PMI-PMOCP certifies your expertise in leading and shaping Project Management Offices (PMOs), demonstrating your ability to drive strategic value. It shows you understand the unique needs, challenges, and culture of each organization in crafting an optimal PMO structure.

This is not just another project management certification—it specifically validates your ability to create, lead, and support effective PMOs. The exam tests your knowledge across six key domains, with the heaviest focus on strategic elements, design, and effectiveness. This is the first PMI certification specifically targeting PMO professionals, filling a gap between project-level certifications and organizational strategy. The certification is ISO-accredited and based on extensive research with PMO practitioners worldwide.

One of our own PMI Central Ohio members recently earned this certification - join us in congratulating them on this amazing achievement.

Exciting Volunteer Leadership Opportunities

We’re currently looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to step into open volunteer leadership roles within PMICOC. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact, grow your leadership skills, get exposure to what the Board positions entail, and contribute to the success of our chapter.

We will have multiple Board roles up for elections later this year too. If you're interested in taking on a leadership position and helping shape the future of PMICOC, we’d love to hear from you. Join us in making a difference—reach out today to learn more about available roles!
