Dear PMI Central Ohio Chapter Members,
As I conclude my term as President of the Central Ohio PMI Chapter, I want to take a moment to reflect on our shared achievements and express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your support, dedication, and collaboration throughout this incredible journey.
It has been an honor to serve in this role, and I am immensely proud of what we’ve accomplished together during my tenure. Our chapter has always been about more than just meetings and events – it's about building a strong community of professionals who are passionate about project management and helping each other grow. I truly believe that we have done just that, and I want to share some of the key highlights from our work over the past few years.
Community is much More than belonging to something; It’s about doing something together that makes belonging matter.
~ Brian Solis
Key Accomplishments During My Tenure:
1. Membership Growth & Engagement: When I took on the role of President, one of our main priorities was increasing membership and fostering engagement across the board. I am pleased to share that we’ve seen a notable increase in our membership numbers, reflecting the value and relevance of our chapter in the region. We’ve worked hard to reach a wider audience, including younger professionals and individuals from diverse industries, and have expanded our efforts to engage both existing and new members. We launched more dynamic communication initiatives through our newsletter and social media platforms, ensuring everyone stays informed and connected to the activities that matter most.
2. Professional Development Programs: Another significant focus of our time together has been professional development. Through workshops, webinars, and PMI certification prep courses, we’ve offered robust learning opportunities that help our members advance in their careers. Whether it was improving your skills or networking, we’ve worked diligently to equip our members with the tools they need to succeed.
3. Advocacy & Community Outreach: I’m also incredibly proud of the work we’ve done in promoting PMI as a thought leader in project management. From hosting successful conferences to facilitating knowledge-sharing events, our chapter has played an active role in advancing the field. Additionally, we’ve supported initiatives that advocate for best practices in project management, further solidifying our reputation as a resource for both professionals and the broader community.
4. Technology & Innovation: As we all know, technology is transforming every industry, and the project management field is no exception. During my time as president, we embraced new technology to streamline our operations and improve member experiences. We revamped our website to make it more user-friendly, enhanced our event registration system, and upgraded our virtual event capabilities to ensure that our members, regardless of location, could continue to participate in chapter activities.
5. Financial Stewardship: Managing our chapter’s financial health was a priority during my time as president, and I’m proud to report that we’ve maintained a solid financial position. Through careful budgeting and securing valuable sponsorships, we were able to fund numerous initiatives while keeping costs affordable for our members. This has provided a strong foundation for the continued success of the chapter.
6. Leadership Development: One of the most rewarding aspects of my presidency has been working closely with our volunteer leaders. I am confident that the next generation of leaders within our chapter will continue to drive the mission of PMI forward and keep this chapter growing.

Past President, PMI Central Ohio Chapter
Hello PMI COC members and Happy New Year!
It’s been awesome to be a part of the PMI family since 2015. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the opportunity to obtain my PMP, join the PMI COC as an Outreach Committee member, serve as the VP of Outreach and, for the past two years, serve as President-elect of the PMI COC board of directors. I can’t believe that I have the opportunity to be our chapter president during PMI COC’s 50th anniversary this year—what an honor! I’ve leaned so much from our past chapter presidents, especially Stephanie Monroe and Deb Ducmanas. They have paved the way for us to continue as a successful and impactful chapter for many years to come.
It’s been a joy to meet many of you during chapter events and I’m looking forward to seeing even more of you this year. You—our amazing members--are what make this chapter strong. We couldn’t make the amount of impact on our communities without your volunteerism, engagement and support. It’s my goal as president over the next two years to serve you and our communities in new and innovative ways. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me on LinkedIn with your feedback and ideas!
Thanks,
Jenna Livingston
