Our Story
Our History
In 1975, the PMI Central Ohio Chapter was the third chapter to be chartered by PMI. Today, we proudly serve a diverse community of over 1,700 members across Central Ohio, with representation extending to more than 20 states and several countries. Our chapter continues to grow, including a vibrant group of student members, as we remain committed to fostering project management excellence.
Our Members
Our members represent a diverse range of industries, including information technology, financial services, healthcare, consulting, energy, government, higher education, and construction. While many work for major employers in Central Ohio, we also have members from small and medium-sized businesses, as well as various government agencies.

Approximately 70% of our members hold the prestigious Project Management Professional® (PMP) certification. Many also hold additional certifications, such as CAPM, PMI-ACP, DASM, PfMP, PgMP, and PMI-RMP, reflecting the breadth of expertise within our chapter.
