It Pays to be a Member

Through a collaboration with ProjectBites, members have the opportunity to earn free PDUs.

This complimentary access to ProjectBites.com provides a platform filled with project management education and inspiration presented in 20-minute segments. Media types include videos, audio downloads, podcasts, learning paths, and mini-bites.

Engaging with this content allows you to earn PDUs at no additional charge with your unique member access code. While PDUs are not automatically reported, a downloaded transcript of usage may be submitted for the reporting process.​

Student Membership

PMI membership offered at an exclusive rate of just $32/year

Get the best tools, credentials, and community access to jumpstart your project management career — all at an affordable price — with PMI Student Membership. Student Members enjoy the same great benefits as PMI Members.

 

To qualify you must be currently enrolled as a full-time student in a degree-granting program from a college or university.

Student members are encouraged to attend all chapter events and volunteer, offering valuable opportunities to connect with working project managers, gain insights into PM roles, and learn about job openings. They can share their newly acquired knowledge and skills with PMICOC, a non-profit organization, while receiving all chapter communications and accessing resources on the PMI national website.

Retiree Membership

Enjoy a special rate designed exclusively for retirees

To qualify, you must be officially retired from active work and have been a PMI member in good standing for five consecutive years.

How does the chapter communicate with its members?

In addition to our website, we distribute email updates featuring upcoming events, recaps of recent activities, and more. Additionally, quarterly newsletters include articles of interest to project managers, recognition of new members and certifications, and spotlights on individual contributions to the chapter.

What types of events are available to members?

The chapter aims to host 1-2 events each month that allow members to interact and earn PDUs. These events include both in-person and virtual formats. Our annual Professional Development Day (PDD) takes place each fall, featuring multiple keynote and breakout speakers and offering 6+ PDUs in a full-day event.

Can non-members attend events?

Yes, non-members are welcome to attend PMICOC events; however, the registration fee for non-members is higher than for members.

What should I do if I encounter issues registering for an event?

How can I get involved with the chapter?

There are numerous ways to engage! As an all-volunteer non-profit, we rely on member participation. You can join the leadership team, participate in outreach programs such as those supporting Big Brothers/Big Sisters, or volunteer at the annual Professional Development Day.
