volunteer2.jpgThe PMI Central Ohio Chapter works to create new programs and improve existing ones for the benefit of the chapter and the local community.  The success of the chapter and our ability to provide high quality programs is only achievable with the help of our members who volunteer. It is through the dedication and commitment of individuals like you that we are, and will continue to be, successful.  We are always looking for volunteers to join our team as the Chapter continues to grow and broaden its services to the member community. You can volunteer on the leadership team or on one of the committees.

Programs - February 2010

February 2010 Central Ohio PMI Programs          Theme:  Managing Complexity – The Agile PPM

Organizations are beginning to take an enterprise view of projects and treating them as investments not as expenditures. As organizations mature with respect to managing its projects, attention has turned away from individual projects towards the portfolio of projects. Successful project execution continues to be a critical success factor and the choice of investments in those projects is now an integral part of corporate strategy.  Ensuring your PM toolbox contains this knowledge is the driving reason for January’s theme: Managing Complexity – The Agile PPM. Each of February s events (Feb 11 Chapter Evening Meeting and Feb 12 One Day Workshop   presented by Bob Wysocki; Feb 27 Saturday One Day Workshop   presented by Gary Monti, and Feb 24 Morning Meeting   presented by Andrew Burns) will address a different aspect of the theme.

March 2010 Central Ohio PMI Programs  Theme:  – Getting Results

Successful Project Managers know they are expected to get results.  Successful project execution continues to be a critical success factor and PM’s are responsible for building quality relationships, handling conflict and controversy, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving productivity, efficiency, and innovation.  Leading-edge best practices can make all the difference between leading consistently successful projects and playing the victim with troubled projects.  Project Managers need to be able to perform at their best, benefiting their projects, organizations, and careers.  Ensuring your PM toolbox contains this knowledge is the driving reason for March’s theme: Getting Results.  Each of March’s events (Mar 11 Chapter Evening Meeting - presented by Jeffrey Ford;  Mar 17 Morning Meeting – presented by Rebecca A Ansley, PMP;  and Mar 25 - 26 Co-Sponsored PD Workshop – presented by Clark A. Campbell) will address a different aspect of the theme.
